MY Trust recommissioned to run YES East Sussex for another 3 years

04 July 2018

We are delighted to announce that the MY Trust (MYT) have been recommissioned by East Sussex County Council to deliver the Youth Employability Service (YES) in East Sussex from 1 October 2018 for an initial three years. MY Trust have been the YES provider in East Sussex since 2013 and are proud of our record of supporting the county’s vulnerable young people in the 16-18 age group during this time. By engaging with almost 4000 young people each year, we have contributed to the county’s strong participation figures against regional and national data by supporting young people to enter and sustain employment, education or training.

From October, we will provide a new and improved service offer through experience and qualified advisers whilst maintaining the excellent relationships with local schools, colleges, training providers and employers developed over five years. We will engage with more young people for each year of the contract and reach a broader group including year 11 and those with special educational needs. With the MY Trust vision of ‘preparing young people for the future’ at the heart of our service throughout East Sussex, we feel confident that East Sussex YES will go from strength to strength and be the first port of call for young people to access careers related advice and guidance.

“It is with great pleasure and excitement that the MY Trust will be able to continue to provide high quality services to young people across the county, continuing to do what we know works but to also use the opportunity of the previous five year’s experience to build an even better service”.

Simone Miles, Chief Executive.
