National Apprenticeship Week

28 February 2014

All eyes are on apprenticeships and this week is all about raising the profile amongst employers, individuals, schools, parents and the media. Apprenticeships can be in any job sector and we are here to help and support you to make this a reality.

In East Sussex

We have already been working with East Sussex County Council, National Apprenticeship Service and Sussex Council of Training Providers by going into schools to talk with young people about apprenticeships and how to register on the National Apprenticeship site. This week we are out and about in the County at different locations filming and raising the profile of the opportunities for young people and employers. Once this week is over, we will carry on providing sessions in schools but will also provide 1:1 support for young people to help with applications for apprenticeships.

If you are a young person, an employer, a parent/carer, a college or a training provider in the County, we want you make a 1 minute video on your phone or tablet and send it to us via this website. Tell us about your experience of apprenticeships. We’ll check your video to make sure it is safe to publish and then we will upload it to this website. We do this via YouTube.

In Medway

We are holding an Apprenticeship Information morning at our centre on new Road in Chatham. If you are a young person living in Medway, come along to find out more.

We know from our own experience that employing apprentices can result in very positive impetus and benefits to the organisation and this is why we will soon be recruiting some new apprentices in East Sussex and Medway.
