I had a very interesting morning on Wednesday 5th March at Hochtief Taylor Woodrow Joint Venture with Cllr Bennett, Peter Sutton (apprentice) and Bob Pape (Project Manager).
The morning started with an 'off road' tour of the new Bexhill to Hastings relief road that is currently being built. We were navigated along the development, with an explanation of the different stages of construction of the relief road, and also shown and explained about the archaeological and environmental teams that were also in place. It was fascinating to hear about what had been found and how they have to re-locate wildlife. While on the drive we stopped at a bridge that is currently being built but good to see that some of the old bridge is being reserved for cultural heritage. While 'on route' Cllr Bennett, Peter Sutton and Bob Pape gave very insightful interviews on apprenticeships in the construction industry. Check out their videos now.
